About Course
This Freshwater Conservation one-day training unit covers stream ecology and the main methods for monitoring a stream.
Participants will be introduced to the animals and plants that live in a stream, the conditions required for a healthy stream and the survey methods to monitor these indicators.
This training unit will be held on Saturday 29 August 2026 (9am-4pm) at Friends of the Blade / Ngā Hoa o Pā Kererū.*
Note:
- Unsuitable weather conditions (or other unforeseen circumstances) may mean we have to postpone this day. Once enrolled, any updates will be available in the course ‘Announcements’ tab no later than 8:00pm the day prior to the training.
- Minimum enrolment numbers are required for this training day to go ahead.
