About Course
This Freshwater Conservation two-day training unit covers stream ecology and the main methods for monitoring a stream.
Participants will be introduced to the animals and plants that live in a stream, the conditions required for a healthy stream and the survey methods to monitor these indicators.
This training unit will be held on Tuesday, 31 March and Wednesday, 1 April 2026 (9am-4pm) at Friends of the Blade / Ngā Hoa o Pā Kererū.* NOTE: This training unit is also being run at other sites in the Bay of Plenty. See listings under ‘Our Training Units’ for further details.
