Introduction to GIS (Geographical Information Systems) in Conservation (Katikati, Sunday 18 October 2026)

This one-day Introduction to GIS (Geographical Information Systems) in Conservation will introduce people with no prior GIS experience to the world of GIS. The participants will learn about how GIS works and will collect information with GPS units and create maps using the BOPRC’s freely accessible GIS website. As well as delving into the information which can be learned about an area through GIS. No technological expertise is required to take this course; if you can use a web browser, you have all the previous training required!

This one-day training unit will be held on Sunday 18 October 2026 (9am-4pm) in Katikati. (The address is shown once enrolled.)
