Foundations in Conservation (Ōtanewainuku Forest, 19 July 2026)

Aimed at beginners, this Foundations in Conservation training unit will provide you with essential foundations to help your conservation journey — whether that be as a volunteer, on your own land or on a career path.

Gain an understanding of the importance of conservation in Aotearoa; basic key ecological principles and the important role you can play in contributing to conservation outcomes.

This all-day training unit will be held on Sunday 19 July 2026 (9am-4pm) at Ōtanewainuku Forest* – a great place to see original forest with giant trees and healthy bird life.
